On Wednesday, May 13th 2026, the “Ricoltiviamo” help desk officially opened at the “Ruffini – Aicardi” Institute in Sanremo. The project supports the floriculture and horticulture sector. The initiative aims to promote Ligurian floriculture, encourage generational renewal and create new professional opportunities linked to the local area.mMoreover, the project was created through the collaboration between floriculture entrepreneur Sergio Viglietti, the Rotary Club Sanremo Hanbury, the Rotary Clubs of Sanremo and Imperia, District 2032 and the “Ruffini – Aicardi” Institute.
Regional Councillor for Floriculture Alessandro Piana and Regional Councillor for Territorial Marketing Luca Lombardi attended the inauguration ceremony. In addition, Ester Moscato, Councillor for Floriculture of the Municipality of Sanremo, floriculture entrepreneur Sergio Viglietti, the Director of the Mercato dei fiori di Sanremo Franco Barbagelata and the Director of the Floriculture District Alessandro Lanteri also took part in the event.
A project supporting the floriculture sector
The floriculture sector represents one of the main economic excellences of Western Liguria. For this reason, the “Ricoltiviamo” help desk supports new producers and young people interested in the world of floriculture. The project offers guidance, training and professional support activities. Furthermore, the initiative provides practical support throughout every stage of floriculture production. Particular attention also focuses on environmental sustainability and process innovation.
“Ricoltiviamo” help desk operational from May 13th 2026
The “Ricoltiviamo” help desk has officially been operational since May 13th 2026. It aims to become a reference point for people wishing to start a professional career in the floriculture sector. At the same time, the project supports the growth of the supply chain and promotes the local territory.
The Director of the Mercato dei fiori di Sanremo Franco Barbagelata stated:
“This is an important initiative that aims to strengthen the floriculture supply chain. AMAIE Energia e Servizi and the Mercato dei fiori strongly believe in the future of the sector. Major works are currently underway for the construction of the new Market, the logistics hub dedicated to product handling, improvements to the warehouse building and the new cooling plant. This represents a total investment of 16 million euros thanks to PNRR funds, creating an increasingly modern and innovative Mercato dei fiori.”
