Entries are now open for the National Floral Art Competition – Bouquet Festival of Sanremo 2026. The initiative will select the florist responsible for the official floral arrangements of the Sanremo Festival. The competition is open to floristry professionals from all over Italy and highlights creativity, technical skills and artistic interpretation.
A high-profile professional opportunity
The competition offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth and national visibility. The winner will play a key role in one of Italy’s most followed media events. As a result, the selected florist will actively contribute to the floral image of the city during the Festival week.
The theme of the 2026 edition: Ligurian Beauty
The 2026 edition focuses on the theme “Ligurian Beauty”. A tribute to the territory, nature and art, interpreted through two formal bouquet challenges: one dedicated to beauty in art and one to beauty in nature.
Who the national competition is for
The competition is open to professional florists from all over Italy who hold a VAT number in the floral sector, as well as to their employees, subject to certification from the employer. The organisation will select up to 24 competitors, based on the documentation submitted during the pre-registration phase.
Registration and participation process
Pre-registrations must be submitted by Wednesday 7 January 2026 at 12:00 noon.
Applicants must complete the online registration form and upload their curriculum vitae, a selection of photographs of previous floral creations and the privacy form for the processing of personal data, as required by the official regulations.
Competition format and evaluation criteria
The competition will take place on 19 January 2026. Participant registration will be held in the morning, with the challenges starting at 11:30 a.m. A technical jury composed of industry professionals will evaluate the works based on technique, relevance to the theme, colour and originality. An honorary jury, made up of local authorities, will award special prizes focused on creativity and the promotion of local products.
Awards for the winner of the national competition
The first-place winner will join the official team in charge of creating the bouquets for singers and guests during the live broadcasts of the Sanremo Festival 2026. During the Festival week, the winner will also collaborate on the floral installations requested by the Municipal Administration, contributing directly to the city’s visual and floral setting, on a voluntary basis.
In addition, the Municipality of Sanremo will offer a weekend in the City of Flowers and will present the winner with a commemorative plaque. The winner will also join the jury of the Flower Parade Floats, one of the most iconic events of the local tradition.

The Bouquet Festival reinforces the long-standing connection between Sanremo and the world of flowers. At the same time, it promotes professional talent and the excellence of the floriculture sector. The initiative supports the broader strategy to enhance the identity of the City of Flowers through tradition, creativity and place promotion.
